Fungi

Fungi shaped like a flying saucer has appeared in a patch of grass by the roadside.

On the road to Thwaite Mills I spot another species of fungi which could be Hare’s Ears. Starlings fly in formation from the East across to Pepper Road, landing on playing fields. Soon the starlings are joined by noisy seagulls. By Knostrop Lock, a swan and cygnet take flight.  As they fly upstream, their wings seem to span the entire river. I look up and see a pair of crows perched on top of an office building by the river bank. Two herons flank the intersection of waterways beside the Royal Armouries
Pigeons congregate on the railings of Knightsbridge Way bridge. By Brewery Wharf, a yellow water taxi, called Twee, ferries passengers to Leeds Dock.
